How much money can I make as a freight broker or freight agent?
If you are a motivated self-starter, your earning potential is virtually unlimited. While some people choose to work independently on their own, others opt for nationwide agent networking and maximum income potential. There are too many variables to consider to give you a one-size-fits-all answer. There are agents who earn as little as $100 per day working part time, and brokers who make several thousand dollars per day. Ultimately, your success is dependent upon your level of ambition.
Do you offer job placement?

Will I be “certified freight broker” after completing this material?
Actually, you do not need a “certificate” to become a freight broker. Although you do need the proper “authority” which is a grant of legal permission issued by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
What about the bond requirement?
The freight broker bond is another area that we cover in great detail. Often times, people are shoved through the paperwork process before they understand whats going on. Getting a bond is not difficult. But before you step out to obtain a bond, there are things you need to consider. Your bond can eithercost you or pay you back over time. (See Section 1.8 Surety Bond Vs. Trust Fund, for details)

I live in Canada. Am I required to secure a property broker authority?
Yes. Canadian residents who wish to broker freight within the United States must also apply for their broker authority.
I am a licensed motor carrier. Can I append my new broker authority to my existing motor carrier authority?
Yes, you can. However, it is not advisable. Doing so allows too much room for legal complications and heightened insurance premiums.
